Search for the Giant Tree

Last week while hiking on Little Creek we saw a HUGE tree in a HUGE canyon. It became sort of a quest to find this tree. We did some Google Earth research to figure out which part of the HUGE canyon we needed to hike into, then yesterday we went. It was beautiful. We hiked for a couple of miles (so glad Autumn is big enough to walk with minimal whining now) then we came to the edge of the canyon and saw the tree. One of the only ponderosa pine trees on Little Creek and it is HUGE! Probably one of the oldest trees in the area.
