7 Things About Being 14

Okay, I'll do the 7 things about me post, but since I'm on the subject of turning 14...I'm gonna mix it up.

1. I was in the Miss Virgin pageant during which I realized that I don't like pageants/talent shows/popularity contests. No, I didn't win...why do you ask?

2. 8th grade was a horrible time for me. I was sooo ridiculously boy crazy and sooo ridiculously shy. That makes for LOTS of giggling :)

3. The week before school started I got the WORST sunburn I've ever had. It resulted in scabby blisters over my upper lip. I had a scab mustache in my school pictures.

4. I got my hair cut at the beauty college. The girl that thinned my hair left a definite spot on the top of my head of short, spiky hair. I wore lots of ponytails.

5. On a trip to Mexico, Rici and I drank a bad batch of Dr. Pepper and spent the whole 1st day of the trip on the toilet. At least we had each other.

6. As one of the only young gals in town, I was often recruited for babysitting. I DESPISED babysitting. There were some real brats in town.

7. All through elementary school I was teased about this boy. I was taller than everyone except him, so we always had to dance together and stuff. I eventually had a crush on him, but could NEVER tell anyone or I knew I would never live it down. (Though I'm pretty sure I had a crush on just about every boy around here)

I was, as you can tell, a dork. Majorly. Actually, I'm still a dork...just a little bit wiser :)
